Repairs & Troubleshooting

If your fountain immediately shuts off or trips the breaker:

• Check the breaker to ensure it is not tripped
• Verify the outlet has power
• If using a GFCI plug or adapter, temporarily bypass it
• Check the timer settings
• Inspect the pump intake for clogs or debris
• Inspect the power cord for cuts or damage
• Chewed insulation (often from muskrats) can cause shorts

If the issue continues:
– Try plugging into a different outlet
– Disconnect the lights and test the pump by itself

If the spray shape, height, or width has changed:

• Remove and clean the nozzle
• Rinse out any buildup or debris
• Check the pump intake screen for leaves, algae, or muck

If your pump stopped pushing water or flow is weak:

• Clean the nozzle
• Clean the pump intake screen

If the pump still does not restart, it may require inspection or replacement.

If lights are dim:
• Remove the fixtures from water and clean the lenses (algae, scale, dirt)

If no lights turn on:
• Inspect fixtures and wiring for moisture or damage
• Bypass the photocell (if included)
• Verify transformer output is 12V
• Inspect bulbs for burn-out or discoloration
• Check cord for cuts or chewed damage
